I’ve been involved in a number of different writing group and a common thing that I would notice is that people were afraid of getting asked the right questions.  It usually was because it meant that there was a lot more work that needed to be done on their script and they didn’t want to do it.

Well, knowing the right questions to ask early in the process can potentially save you a lot of difficulty later.

For this script I have a character that is pretty evil and another who discovers their evil, they are witness to a crime.  As I started roughing out the outline and started to ask myself, “why doesn’t she just kill him?”

So I created some questions and started a whole new brainstorm session in order to figure out the answer.
